1. Doesn’t the animal ‘freak out’ in there?
Answer:
NO! When the pet is introduced for the first time to the cabin, naturally, it does not know what to expect. When water starts to spray on the pet from several directions, it will catch it by surprise. Once the pet realizes that it’s ONLY WATER, and that the warm pulsating streams actually feel good, it soon begins to relax and will either stand still or sit down and look out the window. The next time, the pet will already be familiar with the cabin, and enjoy the experience right from the start.

2. Can more than one pet be washed at a time?
Answer:
Yes, of course. Assuming that they are smaller dog breeds (or cats), and that they get along, 2-3 pets can be placed in the cabin together without compromising the quality of the wash.

3. Is it good for cats too?
Answer:
Yes, it is also good for cats. Remember, by nature, most cats are more averse to bathing than dogs are, so it will take them a few seconds more to relax once inside the cabin. But, just like the dogs, cats end up sitting or lying down for most of the process. Our system allows you to select a different program for cats.

4. How long does the wash take?
Answer:
The pet is only being sprayed by water for a few minutes. The longest process is the drying phase, which lasts another 20 minutes to completion. However, at any time if you think your pet is dry enough, or it’s a nice day out, you can simply open the door, put its collar back on and away you go.

5. Doesn’t water get into the pet’s eyes and ears?
Answer:
Our patented nozzles throughout the cabin spray water from the bottom, top, sides and back. Not from the front. The pet will find a position that is most comfortable. In most cases it will face the front and look out the window.

6. What happens if the pet drinks the water?
Answer:
Nothing. The water, shampoo, and de-flea ingredient are all non-toxic, non-irritating, pH neutral, and hypo-allergenic. It’s as harmless as drinking tap water.

7. What happens if the pet ‘relieves itself’ while inside the cabin?
Answer:
The floor of the wash area is grated. Any feces or urine will be washed away and will run through the cabin floor and down the drain.

8. How often can I bathe my pet with the PetShine.
Answer:
Unlike traditional hand bathing methods that use a “scrubbing motion”, our patented system delivers streams of water in a spiral, pulsating format. There is no scrubbing motion involved. Therefore, the natural protective oils on the pet’s skin are not compromised. You can bathe your dog in our system as often as you like.

9. How thoroughly does it wash the pet (i.e. Underarms, rump, between the claws, etc)?
Answer:
Our system gives a very good overall body wash. Depending on how the pet positions itself, there may be some hard to reach areas that didn’t receive as good a cleaning as others. Our system will replace the regular baths your pet is getting (or not getting because it’s too inconvenient and messy) at home.

10. What if I want to check up on the pet while it’s being washed?
Answer:
No problem. You can simply open the door. When the door is opened, the system will pause the program mid-phase. Once you’ve checked to see how the pet’s doing, you can close the door again and the system will resume where it left off.

11. How hot does it get inside the cabin?
Answer:
A built-in computer system controls both the water and air temperature settings. The typical setting is a comfortable 32 degrees Centigrade or 89 degrees Fahrenheit (approximately the same as the pet’s body temperature). If the system detects a variance in water or air temperature of more than 3 degrees, the automatic security features will shut down the operation, ensuring that no harm comes to the pet inside.

12. What kind of soap and/or flea shampoo are used?
Answer:
The shampoo used in the process is a mild, non-irritating, non-toxic, hypo-allergenic pet shampoo. The anti-parasite ingredient is Pyrethrine based, and also non-toxic and non-irritating.
The anti-parasite agent is not mixed in with the shampoo when the Cat Wash program is selected, as per the advice of our Veterinary consultants.

13. My dog/cat got sprayed by a skunk. Will the PetShine get the smell out?
Answer:
A wash in our system will certainly help. However, depending on how badly your pet was sprayed by the skunk, you may still need to resort to the old ‘tomato juice’ treatment to neutralize the odor that has penetrated the skin.

14. How much water and energy is used per wash?
Answer:
The total water consumption per wash is approximately 80 liters. Total electricity used per complete wash and dry is approximately 0.5 kWh
