Dear Serge,
Please accept this message from me to thank
you for your repeated offers to deploy your Petshine wash
machine as a decontamination unit for our K9’s working
in the devastated areas of Louisiana.
As you know we have used your machine on
several occasions with our personal SAR dog Theodore (son
of Bear, America’s most decorated dog). We did use
the machine to decontaminate him when we left New Orleans.
I think the machine should be incorporated into our animal
disaster response process and would recommend it as a
decon device in the future.
I would gladly recommend your product to
any organization, whether corporate or government.
Given my experience in the field of Disaster
Management, I believe that wherever a disaster strikes
and K9 units are deployed, it would benefit all those
concerned to have a PetShine/K9 S.C.A.W.D.S system present
to wash and decontaminate the working dogs and to act
as a prophylactic to keep them clean and healthy. Exposure
to Hazmat and biologicals in a disaster can be injurious
to the health of these heroes who so often lead us.
I should say how appropriate this system
would also be for all small animals in disasters and hazmat
situations (oil spills, etc. etc.) not to mention I would
envision their use in Vet Clinics, Animal Shelters, Groom
Shops, etc.
I look forward to seeing you again. Thank you once again
for your contribution to the health of the Working Dog.
Sincerely,
Capt. Scott Shields

Hello Serge,
Congratulations to you and Netwash Americas
for a very impressive product. Needless to say, I was very
intrigued when I first saw the PetShine at the Service Dog
Day in New York in September. We were in attendance as part
of a State Urban Search and Rescue team. I watched a couple
K9’s get washed first and then placed my 90-pound
German shepherd, Tango, in the system. Tango, as you remember,
was so excited about it that he jumped right inside as soon
as we opened the door. I was even more intrigued and impressed
to see how much he enjoyed both the washing and drying processes.
He came out clean, dry, and happy.
I hope to have a PetShine unit nearby soon,
as I will certainly use it again for Tango, and will have
no reservations in recommending it to others.
All the best, and I hope to meet you again.
Sincerely,
Sarah Atlas

RE: Dog Washing Station
Dear Serge,
I was very impressed with the PetShine/S.C.A.W.D.S
dog washing station when I saw the first demonstration
at the Service Dog Day Event in New York City. I wanted
to see how my dog Rory would react, and was pleased to
see that he was very calm throughout the whole process,
and that he came out clean and dry.
As you know, I am interested in purchasing a unit from
you in the new year. I believe this is an invaluable asset
to any organization that requires the bathing of pets
on a regular basis. My business of training K9’s
in narcotics and explosives detection requires the dogs
to be in top shape. I’m convinced that your system
will help do just that. I also believe that K9 Search
& Rescue Organizations would greatly benefit from
a machine such as yours for the bathing and decontamination
of SAR Dogs after a long shift in the noxious environments
they usually work in.
Please feel free to use me as a professional
reference for the merits of the PetShine/S.C.A.W.D.S system.
Yours truly,
Andrew Hanellin, President

PET RESCUE BY JUDY TESTIMONIAL |

March 2005
Dear Netwash Americas,
I just wanted to let you know how impressed
I was with the PetShine (Washmatic-Kan) System at the Global
Pet Expo. As you know, I run a Non-profit Animal Rescue
Organization, so I care for many Dogs at a time.
I brought in 10 of my dogs to get washed by your machine,
and was very happy with the results. The Dogs didn’t
seem at all to mind being washed in the cabin, they actually
seemed less stressed than when they are manually bathed.
I also enjoyed the convenience of not having to get dirty
or wet. All the dogs came out clean and happy.
I would definitely recommend this machine to any Pet Care
Organization.
It would save countless time and energy and prevent any
unnecessary injuries to the dogs or the owners.
Sincerely,
Judy Sarullo

VETERINARIAN APPROVAL
(translated with permission from original Spanish) |
Reus, Tarragona, Spain
May 7th, 2002
I, Mr. Pedro Roig Bastida, Doctor of Veterinary
Medicine T-226, upon having studied the PetShine (European
patent # 0861590, US patent 5724918), manufactured by
Netwash, state the following:
• The system produces a hydromassage
effect on the animal, which is beneficial to its circulatory
system
• The washing process involves no scrubbing. Therefore
there is no negative effect on the animal’s dermatological
protective oils
• The floor of the cabin is built and finished with
a non-slip surface
• The unit is designed with a temperature control
system, protecting against any unwanted severe variations
in temperature, thereby keeping the animal comfortable
at all times
• The air inside the unit is continuously recycled
• The drying process evenly circulates warm air
throughout the cabin, thereby avoiding any discomfort
for the animal
• The cabin autodisinfects prior to start of each
washing program
• The system is ideal for cats, as no potentially
harmful sedatives are required
• The large front view window is made of reinforced
glass. The size of the window allows the pet owner/ system
operator to see the animal at all times, as well as give
the animal a greater sense of security
• As the animal looks out the window, water does
not spray into its eyes
• The tests performed on several pets have shown
that at no time are there any indications of stress or
anxious behaviour displayed by the animals, but rather
of calmness and relaxation.
By all of the above and after having personally
supervised the tests, I hereby state that the washing
system known as PetShine has no negative effects on the
health or well-being of the animal being cleaned.

FRENCH VETERINARY JOURNAL-
A VETERINARY BEHAVIOURIST’S REPORT ON A MACHINE THAT AUTOMATICALLY
WASHES AND DRIES HOUSEHOLD PETS
(translated with permission from original French)
|
| Description
The unit consists of a washing cabin into which a dog or
cat is placed. The dog is placed on to a grated floor in a
compartment made of stainless steel. The compartment is outfitted
with a glass door. The smooth inner walls are equipped with
nozzle-like devices.
When the washing phase commences, the nozzles send a mixture
of water and shampoo on to the dog’s body from all directions.
Behavioural Commentary
As the dog sits inside this enclosed environment, does it
give any signs of stressfulness? The better question would
be: Is the dog bathed in this cabin under any more duress
than it would be being bathed by a groomer or by the owner
himself?
To answer this question accurately, one would require some
sort of stress-level measuring device and apply it before
and after being washed by all three methods.
It’s evident that the results of such a test would vary
greatly, depending on the individuals. For some dogs, the
presence of a stranger might calm them down, while others
might become more agitated.
One of most difficult aspects to use as a constant in this
study is the behaviour of the groomer himself (we will consider
“groomer” to represent either a hired person or
the owner himself). It is normally the behaviour/actions of
the groomer that are the variable in the dog’s experience
of getting a bath.
What are the actions of the groomer that can positively or
negatively affect the dog’s bath experience?
He can speak and pet the dog during the process.
He can be selective with what part(s) of the dogs are washed.
He must restrain the dog from jumping out of the wash basin.
He must avoid being bitten by the dog (muzzle?)
He avoids being splashed and/or sprayed by dog when it shakes
of water.
He may scream at the dog if not being co-operative, and in
some cases may corporally chastise the dog.
He might have to hold it firmly by the collar or fur.
He may mistakenly burn the dog when adjusting the water temperature.
He may miss washing an area on the dog’s body.
He may accidentally harm or injure the dog through clumsiness.
If we take the actual person doing the washing out of the
equation, then all that is left is a wash basin per se. If
nothing else, the cabin is a method of washing a dog without
all the worries of human interaction, or hindrance, as it
were.
The other differentiators are less obvious. Some might argue
that the dog might feel closed in. It is precisely this fact
that makes the dog less constricted in its movements! It is
neither tethered nor muzzled, thereby giving a sense of freedom
greater to that in the groomer’s washbasin.
Some might also argue that the dog cannot see its owner while
being bathed. This is addressed by the large glass window,
through which the dog has a view of the outside world. Moreover,
it seems that when a dog is being bathed manually, it tends
to close its eyes, if they already aren’t being covered
by its wet fur. At any rate, visibility is reduced to a degree
in both cases.
In the cabin, the dog is able to perform the most natural
and instinctive of actions- the shake.
Therefore, it can be concluded that if being washed in the
cabin is a test of a dog’s temperament, it is a less
demanding one than that of a manual wash. Within a few seconds
of being in the wash cabin, the dog ceases any attempts to
escape, and either sits or lies down quietly. It may shake
itself occasionally, and then resume its position.

ANIMAL RESCUE CENTER TESTIMONIAL |
| April 7, 2004
To Whom It May Concern:
As owner and operator of Solo Rottweiler Rescue in New Orleans,
Louisiana, I would like to congratulate NetWash on the development
of a very fine product. My first introduction to the PetShine
automatic dog-washing cabin was at the APPMA Trade Show in
March 2004. Serge Casas, representative of NetWash, upon having
explained the product and its features to me, asked me if
I would like to volunteer some of my dogs for the demonstrations
to be conducted during the show. I offered to bring one dog,
Johann, as a trial.
At the show, Serge assured me that I was to feel no obligation
whatsoever, and that at any time, should I not feel comfortable
during the demonstration, I could remove my dog from the wash
cabin. Not only did I feel comfortable throughout the first
demonstration, I was also pleasantly surprised with how calm
my dog remained during the process, and how clean and dry
he came out! I ended up volunteering another 6 dogs throughout
the week. (Incidentally, I brought Johann back on the final
day, and he jumped right back in to the cabin).
As an animal rescue organization, we care a lot about the
dogs we help out. Their health and safety is our primary concern.
I have no reservations in recommending the PetShine system
to any organization interested in buying one, or any dog owner
looking for a healthy, safe, and alternative way of washing
their beloved pet.
Sincerely,
Debbie Reed
